The History of the Chaos:
Celestial Chaos is a local Missoula band who are passionate about bringing their flavor of rock to the masses.
They began with two members, Josh Rhines (guitar) and Rob Sullivan (bass), who had the ambition and dedication to make the band work. They recruited Brad Groesbeck (drums), Zach Bauer (guitars) and Billy McManus (guitars, vocals). This created the first full line up of Celestial Chaos, but unfortunetely was destined to fail. Zach Bauer left for creative differences, and Billy McManus left due to lack of interest, dedication and internal conflict.
This left the Celestial Chaos line up with Josh, Rob and Brad. They last a while, and somewhere between the mix recruited Jeremy Meine for rhythm guitar, who later left due to commitment of his own band, Fades to Grey. So Josh, Rob and Brad carried on. This line up was destined to fail, as while Josh and Rob wanted to take the band in a funky hard rock blues style, Brad wanted to take it into a more clean and mellow direction. This rift eventually led to the resignation of Brad, who left to pursue other interests.
The future looked grim for Josh and Rob, but they did not give up hope. After searching for bandmates constantly, they ran into local drum powerhouse Collin Scott. After a few jams there was instant chemistry, and Collin Scott joined the band, bringing longtime friend and vocal extradornaire, Jake Fine, in on vocals. With no weak links in the band anymore, Celestial Chaos was able to start it’s rise to power.
The Chaos’ first public performance was the Sentinel Talent Show, in which they took 2nd place. But this was only a beginning, as they are destined to play many shows in the near future.
The Chaos Reigns Supreme!
Celestial Chaos is a bluesy hard rock band with a funky metallic edge. Their goal to to bring back the blues, rock and funk that the local Missoula scene is lacking. Expect many shows in the Spring and Fall, and be sure to check back constantly for Show Dates and Updates!
